COMPUTER SOFTWARE & HARDWARE

            Computer Hardware:

                                          The physical parts of computer are called hardware . Hardware can be touched or seen by the user .

                           Examples: 

                                            Different examples of computer hardware are as follows:

                                        .    Input devices such as keyboard, mouse, and joystick

                                       .    Processing device such as central processing unit (CPU)

                                       .   Output devices such as printer and monitor

                                       .   Storage device such as hard drive, flash drive and optical disc

                                       .   Memory chips such as RAM and ROM

              Computer Software:

                                              A set of instruction given to computer to solve a problem is called software. A computer work according to the instructions written in the software. It is also know as program. Different software are used to solve different problems. The computer cannot perform any task without software.

                           

                           Examples:

                                      .     Software for creating documents such as MS Word

                                      .     Software for graphics such as Adobe Photoshop

                                      .     Software for managing computer such as MS Windows

           Relationship of Software and Hardware:

                                                                                    Software is a set of instructions that tells the computer hardware what to do. The hardware cannot perform any task without software. The software cannot be executed without hardware. A computer becomes useful when hardware and software are combined. 

 

           Different between Software & Hardware:

            Software:                                                  

1. Software is a set of instruction that tells the hardware executed what to do.                     2.Software cannot be executed without hardware.                                                                    3. Software cannot be touched.                                                                                                  4.Software is debugged in case of problems.                                                                              5. Software is reinstalled if the problem is not solve.                                                                  6. Hardware consists of physical materials or components.     

                Hardware:

1. Hardware is physical part of computer that cause processing of data.                                  2. Hardware cannot be perform any task without software.                                                      3. Hardware can be seen and touched.                                                                                      4. Hardware is repaired in case of problems.                                                                            5. hardware is replaced if  the problem is not solved.                                                                6. Software consists of the instruction of programming language.
